Caribana, Toronto

I took this photo the year I was on a Caribana float.  As a participant, I had access to the pre-parade area early in the morning as people got their costumes ready.  I loved photographing the quieter, candid moments before things heated up during the parade.  This is one of my favourite photos from that day.

I took this photo in Belize - this man was just coming out of the shadow into the late afternoon sun.  Everything was orange. I've been craving intense colour lately because winters in the city mostly feel grey and bleak to me. I love everything that reminds me of sunshine.
